Between October 2017 and March 2018, Kivy collaborated with the up-cycling textile Start-up
Bricolage Berlin.
Within this framework, Kivy and Henrietta Szakonyi (Bricolage Berlin) collaborated with fashion
designer May Bernardi on the concept and development of three silk-screen-printed outfits for her
winter collection 2018.
May Bernardi drew her inspiration from linear structures and irregular patterns from the nature.
In line with this, the pattern was made out of bark’s imprint and was hand-printed directly on the
final garments, making imperfections and irregularities part of the print of these unique pieces.
This innovative technique avoids ink- and textile-waste. All the garments are printed with
environnemental friendly inks.
